Refurbished Display Cabinet – "Hidden Treasures"

Oh yes, I really like display cabinets... For me, they are the most "human" pieces of furniture.

Maybe I seem strange 🙈, but in an ideal world, a display cabinet resembles a beautiful person:
– It has transparent glass, just as a pure soul shows its beauty.
– It displays its treasures on its shelves, just as a person shows their values.
– And, just like a soul that keeps a part only for itself, the display cabinet has drawers – intimate spaces, only for the initiated.

This piece is made of mahogany wood, with a stamp indicating it was made in Vienna, in 1924. I carefully cleaned it down to the natural wood, including the hardware – which I restored by boiling.

I applied a layer of stain and two layers of protective varnish. And the glass... it "sings" – with a light touch, a delicate, almost poetic sound can be heard.
